Eclipse

Aroma is hoppy, the malt roast was fairly restrained, but no matter how much dehusked black malt you use, there is still gonna be some roast that comes across. Here, it still smells hoppy and better than your average black ale. Taste gives bitterness up front, a floral hop presence, mild roastiness. Small citrus hop flavors come out of it, but they are minimal. Mouthfeel keeps alcohol and bitterness from becoming too apparent, roast kept in check to keep this from becoming a porter ABV: 8.7%
