(FT) Cashier - Newport Ave Market
Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while ensuring accurate, efficient cash handling and POS operations. This position is also responsible for the front-end area's work safety, food safety, quality control, and general housekeeping duties.
Position Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)
Operations
- Ensure accurate and efficient in-store cash handling procedures, including all cash, checks, debit/credit, and EBT transactions.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Complete daily activities as assigned or needed. Ensure daily tasks and assignments are accomplished correctly and timely.
- Participate in department and store staff meetings as required.
- Use work-related equipment correctly and under the manufacturer's guidelines.
- Adhere to company guidelines regarding internal and external loss prevention, including risk management, accident prevention/safety awareness, and loss prevention.
- Contribute to a productive, enjoyable work environment for customers and employees.
- Proactively identifies and performs general housekeeping opportunities and tasks.
- Ensure hazardous conditions are promptly and appropriately handled.
- Participate in training and mentoring processes of other team members as needed or assigned.
- Knowledge of Foodie Flash, Moolah, and produce codes.
- Till responsibility and organization.
- Perform checker duties within the department as required by business needs.

Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for sales generation, product preparation, food safety, quality control, work safety, and merchandising. This position also educates and assists with general grocery and dairy orders.
Position Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)
Product Management
- Consistently achieve all food preparation guidelines, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Process all mis-picks, damaged goods, and credits within established guidelines and report information to the Manager.
- Comply with stocking standards that ensure high product quality. Incorporate cleaning with stocking and rotation requirements.
- Participate in quarterly physical inventory, more often if needed.
- Assist with developing and maintaining product displays that create an exciting marketplace, strive to develop displays that pique customer interest and impact buying trends.
- Assist the Manager with ensuring effective informational and price point signing is posted for all products.
- Assist the Manager in developing effective product descriptions and establishing correct verbiage for all related signs/materials.

Summary/Objective
This position manages the grocery/front-end operation and total store in the absence of the front-end and/or store manager.
Position Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)
Operations
- Ensure daily projects and activities are accomplished correctly and timely.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements.
- Adhere to company guidelines regarding internal and external loss prevention, including risk management, accident prevention/safety awareness, and loss prevention.
- Oversee and maintain the sales floor, back room, and walk-in coolers in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
- Oversee and maintain store products in a manner that allows easy access to back stock.
- Use all equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Handle and accurately count cash, balance tills.
- Make bank runs and reconcile safe deposits.
- Make and receive deliveries and required.
- Replenish register supplies as needed.
- Address any guest services or emergency situations as needed.
- Maintain store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
- Open and close the front-end department and run necessary reports.
- Controls shrink and prevents the sale of out-of-code products.
- Replaces stock in displays surrounding the checkout areas.
- Assists cashiers with computer, register, and scanner problems.
