From Tuesday, September 29 through Monday, October 5, Robert and Newport Avenue Market’s Brew Crew are featuring Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen as our Beer of the Week. Brewed in Bavaria, this amber-gold lager is rich with malt character, bready flavor, and a gently dry finish. It tastes like a good reason to make plans for dinner.
A Bavarian Beer Made for the Fall Table
Ayinger Oktober Fest-Märzen gives barley its moment in the spotlight. The malt aroma is deep and inviting, and the flavor has the satisfying, bread-like richness that makes a Märzen such a welcome beer when the weather cools down.
Pour it alongside bockwurst, schnitzel, or sauerkraut. Its malt character can hold its own with a hearty meal, while the dry finish invites another bite. No elaborate Oktoberfest party required, though we would never discourage one.
